It's a tricky one and although unprofessional I guess the real question is whether he provided a compromised service. I suspect if he does this again he might not get a friendly reception. bones bones@xxxxxxx -----Original Message----- From: jhb-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jhb-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Mike Lucas Sent: 16 October 2009 08:16 To: jhb@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [jhb] Re: SRA Bones Re EGNM_TWR simultaneously flying on Vatsim. I can confirm this: when first contacting him, his message - as well as the usual info - included the words "Text only - currently flying on Vatsim". So I checked the Vatsim traffic on ServInfo and, sure enough, the same Daniel Lipscombe was en route Palma to Manchester as EZY28x (can't recall the last character of his callsign). My contact with him was fairly brief, but he excused himself for five minutes when I was on the ground at EGNM and compiling my flight plan for EGNS. Not sure to what extent this may have compromised traffic - which was very light, and largely monopolised by a Typhoon doing circuits (?? a pal of TWR??) and calling Mayday in the process. But it doesn't give a good impression of IVAO ATC when the controller pops up a message telling traffic that he's simultaneously flying on Vatsim. More of a problem for me was the appalling quality of his voice setup.
