it says when there is more than one unread message in the inbox, as in when you go from one message to another, and say you do shift-tab and go to another folder, before you tab into that folder it says however many messages are unread before you tab.

I just wish there was a quick and easy way to tell if there was one unread
message in a folder. It only seems to announce the status if there are two
or more. That is aggravating to me as I use folders extensively.

you'll get used to it. I use both as I have two accounts, and Outlook
definitely makes messages look more professional. as in, when you reply to a

message it outlook it keeps the message in tact without the stupid grater
than signs.

Hiya Debbie,

Thanks for the suggestion, followed your instructions but that box was
already checked so I don't know why MS Outlook doesn't still auto finish
and has some weird issues as I want to use it as it lets me know when I've

replied to an email also but I must say OE is so much user friendly

cheers,

Jim

Yes I think that is odd the way outlook does that. If you go to tools,
options, on the preferences page, enter on email options then the
advanced
button.
Tab and make sure suggest names when completing the to cc or bcc field
checkbox is checked.
But still the first time you go to send a message to someone in your
contacts, it won't autocomplete. But the next time it will.
I guess just a quirk with outlook, I'm not sure if that was by design or
accident by Microsoft!

Hiya list,

In OE i can type 1 letter for example in the To: field and it will auto
finish for me people on my address book automatically starting with
letters
I type that are in my address book, the thing is I cannot do this in MS
Outlook. Is there something I need to enable to auto finish in MS Outlook
too?

 cheers,

 Jim
