I've not heard of reliability or speed problems with any drive before
Rogers, what reliability problems had you found with other format drives?
ext3 is I believe a linux format.
Apart from NTFS (Windows XP & Vista native format) the only other format I
believe supported by any LINKSYS firmware versions is FAT32.
n.b. you can't format drives over 8GB to FAT 32 on Windows XP or Vista
you can on Win98SE and some versions of Linux I believe
Only drives in ext3 format support users with passwords, quotas and
restricted sharing.
I know of at least one RISC OS / NSLU2 user who uses FTP rather than LanMan!
