there is a business opportunity for someone to come in and sell
significantly cheaper computers exactly as Asus did about two years
ago.

Hi !
You are very right. The netbook landscape is going to change
drastically. There is also a whole new generation of netbooks ,
smart-books etc which do not ( or can not) run windows software and
are based on non- x86 processors like ARM ,MIPS and Snapdragon etc.
Also mobile phones , MIDS ( Mobile Internet Devices) and netbooks are
clamoring for this market place giving users wider choices depending
on what their intended purpose is.
So be assured that sub 10k netbooks and ultra low cost netbooks
bundled with data plans are going to hit Indian market very soon !
