As a visual cue that there is an expression history stored in the calculator, 
how about some small up arrow/down arrow buttons to the right of the text 
control? Obviously both disabled initially and the up arrow would be enabled 
after the first expression was entered. That would make it obvious the app was 
storing previously typed expressions.
