(which a much wider audience of developers can do) +1000 I can understand Patrik's concerns but the reality is that Michael is seriously one of a tiny number of Haiku developers who can handle the current tasks he is working on. System stability is absolutely paramount, and way more important than other more obvious user facing features. Plus as others have said, much of the final finishing type stuff, like an improved network preference panel, is something many of us can work on. We are paying Michael not to finish Haiku but to work on the hard tasks that the rest of us don't have the time or skill for. As for the blog posts, I can definitely see why everyone wants to see more, but let's try to be friendly to Michael's attention to detail and let him produce the sort of quality posts he wants to. He isn't the type to just blog about every tiny thing he did. Lastly, while it is always fine to express your opinion here, especially for a paid developer who is mostly funded from donations, please let's not say things which demotivates Michael. The stuff he is doing is REALLY HARD and frustrating, so it doesn't help to act like that work isn't important. We all know the feeling of being unappreciated, so let's not make others feel that way. -- Regards, Ryan
