I agree with everything you said.  I think the community poll is a
good idea, seeing as the community will be the majority of people
using the operating system.  If things are only seen from a developer
standpoint, I think the release may get delayed too long when it is
stable and complete enough for most of those that will be using it.
Like you said, there needs to be balance though, and getting a wider
sampling of opinions will definitely help.  We want the release to be
appreciated and utilized by both casual users and developers, whether
they have been with the project a long time, or are new to the OS.

Indeed, the list is well done, and I think the voting should start
soon unless somebody has something else to add to it.
