Hi there its Mike C from Montreal.
Like DJ said it all depends on your budget, how many in's and out's you need,
and how much of the control panel you are going to need for your setting.
I'm personally using the m-audio 2626 pro, and because I'm using a Mac, I have
a firewire on the system, and on the Mac OS the card is extremely accessible in
that I have control of the control panel software, and can use Voice over to
control levels, and routing configurations.
Another good card I can recommend is the focus rite pro 40, card which has
fantastic pre-amps, and with a set of Jaws hot spots you can use the control
panel of the sound itself, giving you access to control volumes, routing, and
monitor mixing.
AAnother good thing about focus rite is their manuals are extremely easy to
read, and are layer out in totally accessibility in reading.
Finally Motu make a good line of cards, but since I last remember rate control
panel was extremely inaccessible on both PC and Mac.
Finally if you really to go all out RME make a very good line of cards, however
are expensive, but you will never need another card if you go for RME.
Hope this helps.
