The societal issue I'm going to discuss is the use of firewalls. Firewalls are 
an important link in protecting personal information and valuable data from 
others that use the internet. You can use firewalls that are built into your 
operating system (Windows XP Professional) and by installing a hardware router 
between your modem and your computer. By adding these firewalls you make it 
much harder for others to access your computer, however, the only 100% sure way 
to keep your computer safe is to turn it off or disconnect it from the 
internet. With security issues while connected to the internet are ever 
present, an important website to research is:
