The problem is, the Bookport can't play WMA files without hardware changes. With the soon, we all hope, to be released Bookport2, that just won't be happening. My source for this information? This is what Larry has said on this list.

That's right, and since Book Port can't play NLS, APH should get going on a way to make it, at least overdrive compatible. The down the road problem, of course, is, as stated earlier, parts will become unavailable. It will take time, but, eventually, our beloved Book Ports will die of old age. That's why the II is important; though it may take longer.

I suppose you all don't know about the unabridged project. In short it is a web sight where blind persons who are receiving books from the national library service can sign-up to download digital books. I have been let to believe these books are in what is called wma format and, well, our bookport won't play them.

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. I will be found by you," declares the LORD, "and will bring you back from captivity.
