I agree with you one can put on here why a book has been released I think that
beats not knowing for serious real.
If it were my book I'd appreciate knowing if I needed to fix something or not.

except a person noticing the book wouldn't know that it had been
released just because you didn't have the time or interest to work on it and so
might not check it out expecting it to have problems.
I repeat my earlier post: one can, and people have, posted here why
they are releasing a book, whether it's because of lack of time for proofiing,
needs a sighted person, is nlyh missing copyright page, has a lot of scannos,
is missing page breaks, etc.

Lately I have been scanning rather than proofing, but in my early
days of
proofing I used to check out several books at a time and just skim
over them
to decide which one I wanted to work on and then release all the
rest. That
would be an example of a release that would need no comment.

That would be nice; when you reject a book you can leave comments as
to why.
However, when a book is released, the only people likely to need
comments
would be volunteers who plan to take it; if you post to the list here
that
you're releasing it you can also explain why and what needs to be
done to
it, if anything. I've sometimes seen people post that they're
releasing it
only because they're not interested in the book, or they found they
don't
have time now to proof it; also, that it needs page breaks, or there
too
many scannos and it's nott worth the time to fix ir, andso on.

I would like to comment on a book, especially if I had problems with
it so
others would be aware of them. Regards, Kim Friedman.

This is true. When you release a book you don't have the opportunity
to
leave comments. It would be nice to be able to.
