Hi Debby,

If you release a book, the file with your work in it is not the file that
the next proofreader will see. The file that will get worked on is the
original rtf document. If you want your work preserved, but don't want to
work on the book yourself, you'll have to send the copy that contains your
fixes along as if you are intending to have that copy accepted into the
collection. And in the comments section of the acceptance form, ask Carrie
to please return that copy to the checkout page for another proofreader to
work on.

Mayrie

Hi Jamie and Jana!

Jana, although I just read a sentence here and there, since pagination was
my purpose for checking out the book to help, from what I can tell, this is
a very clean scan.

Jamie, I paged down through the book and put Roman numerals on the pages
that never have page numbers such as the title page, copyright page,
dedication page and any blank pages and wrote that they were blank as well
as putting the page numbers for the pages that start chapters at the top and
left the rest at the bottom of the pages where they were originally and left
a blank line at the top and bottom of each page, to protect pages snugging
things up a bit, so, your job will be to read the text to make sure the OCR
didn't introduce any junk characters and the like as well as making sure
chapter titles and any others are bolded and enlarged properly, and stuff
like that. You should breeze through this as far as I can see.

Although the book looks interesting, I really am a bit swamped with both
scanning projects I am finishing and ones to start plus some proofreading to
finish, so I'd appreciate it if you'd take over again, Jamie, or anyone else
if you don't have the time. It's not really that long a book. It's around
175 pages.

I'll keep it here tonight, so please let me know how you want me to release
it.

Debby
