Cindy, That was a good idea before, but won't really help now that page breaks are required. You don't need to change the font to eliminate page breaks in text files especially, since none of that is retained. In RTF files it would be a good idea to set the page length to something like 15 inches or something impossible to prevent the problem you wrote about. I'll try to be interested in a text file for my next validation, so I can help to get rid of some of the problem books. Can anyone suggest some interesting text files that need help? Please, no fair quality romances. I won't touch those. And I've put a note in the long synopsis that the page numbers appear at the top or the bottom of the page, depending on where they were in the book, of course. In one case the headings had been retained so it was easy to see where the page numbers belonged. I didn't bother putting in a hard break because when I saved and then reopened to work again the hard break was gone. > > What I didn't do, at least in one book, and probably should have, was change the font to eliminate the natural breaks that were created. I think I did do that in the others when I realized I could. > > Cindy > > -- > _______________________________________________ > Find what you are looking for with the Lycos Yellow Pages > http://r.lycos.com/r/yp_emailfooter/http://yellowpages.lycos.com/default.asp ?SRC=lycos10 > >
