Kellie, I love your metaphor. It made me chuckle. On another recent topic, I just googled and found a page full of emoticons. The only one I've ever used was the smile, but the recent conversations here inspired me --only after looking, most of them are so complicated, it's easier just to write the word -- although for you younger folk who'd like to send them to your sighted friends, it might be worth it. I found the one for sticking out one's tongue -- the tongue actually goes in and out. There's one for shuddering in disgust that actually shudders. They are really cute, I admit, but I'll stick to using words except for the smiley. The one for chuckle, for example, is colon, the word chuckle, and another colon, (if I remember correctly) and it looks more like a toothy grin.
