I also say "blind". After all, I do not refer to my female friends as non-men or children as non-adults so sightless or whatever is silly And "impaired" in any form is just out. Whatever I am impaired is surely far from the mark. I also just think it is honest. I suppose the question will be a bit different for legally blind folks who have some useable vision but not for me.
