We knew that one of our dogs had gotten ahold of a couple duck eggs.. we took
one away from her and then she brought another home. The question is..what
kind of duck egg is it?
Where the nest/clutch is ..is near the "O" pond in the stripmines by me.. my
dog had flushed out a mallard from it..but those aren't mallard eggs from what
I read. These eggs are beige..not any brown mottled spots on them.. I went to
the nest today, (followed my dog)... and there are 5 eggs left.
We have seen 8 sets of Canadian Geese and some Mallards there.. and I know some
wood ducks also..
Does anyone know what duck it would be that lays that color eggs..

I don't know if they are abandoned or not..
plus with my dog knowing where it is..and the coyote around.. they probably
won't make it..

thanks
