Thank you everyone for you suggestions. So far, I do not believe it is a Brown Thrasher, though it is somewhat close. The breast spots are too dark, and the eyes are not right, and the pictures I saw show different colors on the tips of some of the wing feathers. It is not a Towhee or a female Baltimore Oriole. I suppose it is possible that it is an albino Robin. The only thing is, it does not act like a Robin. The Robin's are not afraid of us and will stay in the yard, but this bird takes off at the slightest movement. I am still leaning towards a Veery. I found this photo while looking at all of the other birds and the color of this bird is very similar, though darker than the one I saw. I wish there were shots of the chest of this bird. It was solid like this on top. I do have my camera ready in case I can get a picture of it, if I do I'll post it. Thank you all for your suggestions! The first time I saw it was up pretty close as I was coming around the corner into my dining room and it was right outside the patio door, but as soon as it saw my movement it took off. It was the color of an orange tabby cat, solid on top and the breast was a creamy beige color with brownish spots. The feathers looked soft like an owl, but it was not an owl. It was about the same size as a robin. Every time I've seen it and it notices any movement it takes off very quickly and I can't follow it. I've looked and the closet thing I've seen to what it looks like is a veery, but the pictures I've seen do not have the right color. This bird was more striking orange-brown like an orange tabby cat. Also the veery seems a bit small compared to this bird. Does anyone have any idea what kind of bird this may be? I live in the city limits in Lexington, KY and have been here for over 15 years and have never seen this type of bird before.
