A bit late, but yesterday I spotted my FOS Brown thrasher at Camp Catalpa. There & Lake Reba were rather quiet, even the recent vast flocks of Yellow-rumps were missing. Later in the afternoon the dull outing was compensated for with the privilege of seeing a pair of Red-tailed hawks copulate near their nest. A non-xxx-rated photo of the (presumable) female taking a break from nest-sitting: http://www.flickr.com/photos/fustian/5551282819/ Went back to Catalpa today and the butterbutts were back in force.
