It’s supposed to get up to 70 degrees today, but when we came back in a little
while ago after a front field circle, it was still 43 degrees. As we neared the
house, I spotted a flock of Cedar Waxwings zooming this way and that ahead of
us.
I said to Alison, “I’m not going to fool with trying for pictures unless they
stop and almost beg for it.”
They did. Light was low between clouds and the early time of day, but I got an
image good enough to seem worth sharing. I was able to count the flock simply
by counting birds in 2 separate frames. My guesstimate would have been 40.
Actual count in images - 47.
