There seem to be fewer winter birds than usual here so far, but we did have one
okay sighting this overcast morning on our daily road walk - a flock of 50+
Cedar Waxwings. Also found something probably bird related - an acorn impaled
on a barb of a barbed wire fence. I guess it could have conceivably landed
there from the overhead White Oak tree, but I suspect a bird cached it there.
