Chuck's argument makes much sense. Usually educating people on what is acceptable is sufficient. Let's face it, who owns the night? What do you to with someone who violates the laser policy? And if he/she doesn't obey? And if he/she refuses to leave? Getting physical with someone opens some very unpleasant doors. Hire an armed guard for star parties? Come on now. While the green lasers are certainly neat (and maybe someday I will get one), I find it just as good and much cheaper to just use the old fingers on my hand to point out something.
