Greg, Arachne has always been tested mostly by her users after release. Michael Polak, the original developer, was hyper-active, sometimes releasing new versions a few weeks or even days apart. The releases were not carefully and systematically tested before release. Michael relied on the users for testing. Today there are multiple versions from a small corps of developers. They seem to be more careful and systematic than Michael ever was and I am thankful for their efforts. But they can only do so much. There is no time and not enough people to test every feature on every DOS or possible setup. There as never really been a finished "release" of Arachne. It has always been an evolving work in progress that contains many experimental features and a myriad of user configurable options. There is no staff of testers to check things out other than the users. There never has been and never will be. It's important to keep that in mind.
