That command should switch to drive D:
It looks like your dos is NOT switching drives, for some reason.
You should experiment to see whether "d:\arc\" will normally
switch to the d: drive when you're running in dos rather than in
a batch file.
If you are familiar with batch files and dos text editors you can
edit the DOSSHELL.BAT file that is called by Alt-E so you can see
how the commands in it are executed.
If you don't wish to edit the file yourself, I'll send you a
substitute one with the extra bits, so you can try it.
