How come Andy's Jaws works on his XP Home computer while it is installed
with Media Centre. I have Windows XP Pro and Have just ordered Jaws Pro. But
Andy's works as is ... and he is running XP Home, so i don't think Media
Centre runs under XP Pro alone.

I respectfully beg to differ with others on this point.

Windows XP Media Centre is a subset (or at least closer to being) of XP Pro
oweing to it's use of encyption which is required for protection of the
media files and does not feature in the XP Home series products which has no

serious file access protection and no file encryption facilities. Your
screen access product such as Jaws will see it the same way.

Hi all.

Can anyone tell me if Microsoft Windows XP Media Centre is the same thing as
Microsoft XP Professional Edition?

Thanks.

Andy
