Hi kevin, Take a look in my network places its on the desktop (XP). If
windows has successfully created the network it should be listed their by
name. It maybe in the top level or it maybe under entire network.

Both computers should be listed and depending on if its working correctly
you should be able to access the files and folders by pressing enter on the
name of the computer. If your firewall is blocking access you will get an
access denied message.
