Well, the only time I experienced anything like this--and it wasn't
on-line--the bank sorted it out, and refunded their charges for me being
overdrawn as a result of the fraud - Andy

| The thing is though we're still less secure. Even if your account had
frad
| carried out on it, you still have to deal with the hassle don't you?
|
| I've never had my account hacked or abused before, but I imagine you dont'
| just get the funds straight back in? What if you had bils to pay?

| Surely if customers are offered a "opt out" for whatever reason, this
| doesn't come with a penalty of reduced rights in the event of fraud! -

||
|| Yes but that's same as the chip and PIN in the shops.
|| If we opt for chip and Signature in the shops, there is a higher risk
|| of fraud compared to if we use chop and PIN in the shops.
|| I would think if there is to be an opt out for the chip and PIN
|| at home, on grounds of disability, the banks may have to take the
|| responsibility should there be any fraud, just as they do now
|| take on the responsibility if there is fraud for chip and
|| signature in the  shops.

||
|| I wonder what The RNIB is doing on this matter?
