Yes, Barry, you're right on. That's what we really want, to see the
programme at a given time, with voice over.

Hi Carol and all.

I think that's an absolute BS response as well!

A bit more thought out than the one I got but still!

So basically we're being asked to submit a request for a DVD to be
released,
then if such time as that takes to go through production, marketing etc
etc,
we'll have to pay to have the same inaccessible program?

That the general public had the pleasure of having full access to the
first
time around? At no cost other than the pole tax, (Television Licence).

This is ridiculous and personally I feel it's being swepped under the
rug by
Ms Stourton.

I've replyed and informed Ms Cousins that I wish to escalate my
complaint to
Fraiser Steel.

Actually read below for my response.

Dear Ms Cousins.

I am very unhappy with Fiona Stourton's unwillingness to address this
matter
and come to a satasfactory resolution for not only myself but other
individuals that through one disability or another could not have the
full
benefit of this documentary.

Therefore I wish to escalate the complaint to
a higher level.

Please could you forward this mail including the entire thread to,
Fraser
Steel, Head of Editorial complaints. Or provide me with his email
address?

I am appalled at the no further comments approach Ms Stourton is taking
on
this matter and feel it fair to advise that if there is still no
satasfactory response from Mr Steel then I will be forced to contact The
BBC
Governors.

For clarification I would view a satasfactory resolution to be a
reshowing
of the program at an announced time and date with a voice over track
played
so that the subtitles are spoken or a similar compromise.

Thanking you for your attention to this matter.

Yours sincerely
Barry Toner
