Would you still have a job? | $7000 is pennies when I start answering those questions. Every 3 years | updating critical hardware is not unrealistic. Bandwidth technology has | improved every few years also...it makes sense to keep your equipment in | line with it.
I have to disagree. For a small company, three years isn't that long for an expensive piece of hardware like that. For that size network and budget, I'd recommend going with a software firewall, it's going to cost like 80% less over the same time period, and if you do have to upgrade the hardware it will still be alot cheaper. Examples: IPCOP, IPTABLES, heck even ISA server would probably be cheaper.
