Well, I'm not Jim, of course, but I'm hoping I'm providing a good answer here. Jim can fill in any holes I left out or any inaccuracies.
Ok. A few versions back, I wanna say it was maybe in the 5.2 series of Winamp, all of a sudden, the media library changed and became a whole lot harder to use with screenreaders. Myself and a few others on this list went to the developers on the Nullsoft Winamp forums and tried very hard to get them to understand that we did not like the way the library looked and requested that they change it so that it would be more accessible, but our requests seemed to fall on deaf ears. So anyways, Jim developed scripts for JAWS 7.0 which was the current release then, and it allowed better access to the library because it was really unreliable to try to use it without the scripts. So, JAWS 8.0 came out last October, and it had support for the Winamp library built in, but as Jim said it doesn't seem to do as well as his scripts did. i didn't have much luck with his scripts, and to be honest I don't use the library all that much. But I know others do, so you could go either way, if you have JAWS 8, see how it works for you. If it doesn't you can contact Jim andget his scripts. Or, actually, I think they still might be up on the
