Martin,

The Signetics chip number doesn't match the usual EPROM or PROM numbers, not even close, looks like it may be waht is called a "house number", which is an internal partnumber between the manufacturer and high volume customers. Does is have a transparent window on the top? That would be the UV light earsure window for clearing the data. The second and third lines look like date codes - 1st week of 1990, and 34th week of 1989. Two date codes are unusual unless it's a "one-time programmable" (no window), in which case the earlier date is the manufacturing date and later date is the programming date which ties to the data file they used. Can you post a photo of the chip on the board?

Subject: [tunerpro] Jetronic LE3 programming

Dear list,

Looking for some help, wish to program the Jetronic injection system. I have a LE3 version fitted to a Fiat Uno turbo. The pcb is fitted with a socketed 16 pin IC (chip), I believe likely a TTL PROM or similar, and I know people have changed these for different injector duty cycle - fuel maps etc. I have a standard chip and wanted to experiment. My question, does anyone know and please tell me what the IC is so I can purchase some blanks and start experiment? I have access to EPROM and Prom programmers. The OE programmed chip is a Signetics chip, with number: B57586 2nd and third line: 9001 8934. Any hints or pointers would be very much appreciated.

Thanks,
Martin
