I doubt it. This is _exactly_ how it should be done. He's merely written out
the files, while I was telling you how to write your own.

I'm not against clearing these files out, I'm against doing it
automatically, with every boot. He describes one good reason here: deleting
files should be done only after you verify that you won't delete anything
important. In a similar way, I once spent two hours trying to figure out why
IE5 wouldn't load correctly on my machine (for me, two hours on a Windows
problem not involving long slow processes is a long time). It turns out that
I had automated deleting a directory that should be empty whenever you
reboot, but often isn't (the Windows temp directory), and IE5 mildly broke
good programming habits by using the temp directory to store files that were
needed to finish installation after rebooting.
