After skipping Monday, I birded Radnor Lake this morning, Oct. 7, from about 7-9:30am. I took my usual route from the west parking lot to Long Bridge and back. Good overall numbers of warblers continue, but unfortunately, not the MOURNING WARBLER. However, at almost the same spot, it was replaced by a fine LINCOLN'S SPARROW, feeding and chipping, a COMMON YELLOWTHROAT, and a nice ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER. Guess I got my money's worth in that 3 for 1 trade. There were 10 species of warblers, including a GOLDEN-WINGED.
