Radnor Lake State Natural Area Nashville Davidson Co., TN Friday 2 September 2005 7:30-9:30 am Clear and warm My wife Bonnie had a day off from work so we went for a walk at Radnor Lake. Even though the morning was warm, there was definitely more activity than the past 2 weeks of August. We had a nice mixed flock around the dam and Ranger's residence that included a YELLOW-THROATED VIREO and 3 warbler species. We finished with 6 species of warblers for the morning. On the lake were 14 BLUE-WINGED TEAL. Later I found my first SWAINSON'S THRUSH of the fall migration. Birds of interest included: Blue-winged Teal 14 Yellow-throated Vireo 1 Northern Parula 2 Blue-winged Warbler 1 Yellow Warbler 1 American Redstart 1 adult male, 1 female Black and White Warbler 1 Swainson's Thrush 1 Summer Tanager 1 female -- Frank Fekel Tennessee State University Center of Excellence in Information Systems 3500 John A.
