Having just returned Monday from Dauphin Island, Alabama, and seeing
the results of a significant fallout there at the end of last week,
I decided to squeeze in a local trip to Radnor Lake before going on a
business trip to Tucson, AZ tomorrow. I was not disappointed.
The wave of PALM WARBLERs reported yesterday continued. In my
trip from the west parking lot to Long Bridge and back I got 20+
individuals. Another birder, who came from the opposite direction,
reported at least 30 PALMs by the time he reached Long Bridge.
YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERs continued to mass on their way north with
60+ individuals found during my short walk. However, of the
13 species of warblers that I found today, I most enjoyed
looking at a singing male CERULEAN WARBLER near the dam.
ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAKs also were relatively numerous. HOUSE
WRENs were also coming through with 4 seen or heard. WARBLING
and BLUE-HEADED VIREOs highlighted a 4 vireo morning. I am
sure that the NTOS Wednesday walk group will have more to report.

Birds of interest included:
Eastern Phoebe 1
House Wren 4
Ruby-crowned Kinglet 3
Swainson's Thrush 3
White-eyed Vireo 3
