Radnor Lake State Natural Area Davidson Co. Nashville, TN Monday 16 May 2005 7-9:30 am Walked the Spillway and then Lake Trails from the west parking lot to Long Bridge. A lot of singing by resident birds but only a few migrants. Several birders were out searching for warblers. At Long Bridge a MOURNING WARBLER was heard calling a few times but did not come close enough to be seen. NO CONNECTICUT WARBLER was heard or seen along the Lake Trail. A SPOTTED SANDPIPER was at the dam and both GRAY-CHEEKED and SWAINSON's THRUSHes were seen not far from Long Bridge. A male SCARLET TANAGER and an adult male AMERICAN REDSTART added bright colors to the morning. -- Frank Fekel Tennessee State University Center of Excellence in Information Systems 330 10th Avenue North Nashville, TN 37203 USA =================NOTES TO SUBSCRIBER===================== The TN-Bird Net requires you to sign your messages with first and last name, city (town) and state abbreviation. ----------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------- To post to this mailing list, simply send email to: tn-bird@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx ----------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, send email to: tn-bird-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the Subject field. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * TN-Bird Net is owned by the Tennessee Ornithological Society Neither the society(TOS) nor its moderator(s) endorse the views or opinions expressed by the members of this discussion group.
