Walked the Spillway and then Lake Trails from the west parking lot
to Long Bridge. A lot of singing by resident birds but only a
few migrants. Several birders were out searching for warblers. At
Long Bridge a MOURNING WARBLER was heard calling a few times but
did not come close enough to be seen. NO CONNECTICUT WARBLER was
heard or seen along the Lake Trail.

A SPOTTED SANDPIPER was at the dam and both GRAY-CHEEKED and
SWAINSON's THRUSHes were seen not far from Long Bridge. A male
SCARLET TANAGER and an adult male AMERICAN REDSTART added bright
colors to the morning.
