Radnor Lake State Natural Area Davidson County Nashville, TN Sunday May 15, 2005 Saturday evening I returned from a 3 week business/birding trip to southeast (SE) Arizona, where over the past several days I ran into 3 groups of TN/KY birders. It was like old home week! All were having a great time enjoying the SE Arizona specialities. In part due to Terry Witt's posting, this morning at Radnor Lake there was also a good turn out, with over a dozen birders, some from as far away as Knoxville and Jackson, TN. A CONNECTICUT WARBLER was heard briefly along the Lake Trail just before Long Bridge, but to my knowledge no one sighted it. As a consolation, we were treated to singing and a brief but very nice sighting of a male MOURNING WARBLER. A male WILSON's WARBLER also provided a song and dance routine in the same area. Now that I'm back in Nashville, I'll be at Radnor most mornings this week to continue the search. -- Frank Fekel Tennessee State University Center of Excellence in Information Systems 330 10th Avenue North Nashville, TN 37203 USA =================NOTES TO SUBSCRIBER===================== The TN-Bird Net requires you to sign your messages with first and last name, city (town) and state abbreviation. ----------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------- To post to this mailing list, simply send email to: tn-bird@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx ----------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, send email to: tn-bird-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the Subject field. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * TN-Bird Net is owned by the Tennessee Ornithological Society Neither the society(TOS) nor its moderator(s) endorse the views or opinions expressed by the members of this discussion group.
