Radnor Lake State Natural Area
Davidson Co.
Nashville, TN

Phillip Casteel and I braved the tough weather conditions and
tried to concentrate on birds rather than wildflowers and butterflies.
Checked the nest near the east end of the lake trail but did not see
a Cooper's Hawk on it. Migrant numbers are still not extensive at
Radnor, but we did get a couple of new birds for the year.

Highlights included:
Double-crested Cormorant 2 flybys
Pied-billed Grebe 2
Blue-winged Teal 2
Green Heron 2 flybys
Red-eyed Vireo 2
Blue-winged Warbler 1
Yellow Warbler 1
Yellow-rumped Warbler 10+ (well below Wednesday's numbers)
Prairie Warbler 1
Prothonotary Warbler 1
Louisiana Waterthrush 4
Orchard Oriole 2 (1 next to the Ranger's residence by the dam,
                    a usual spot)
