Don't forget that should you also have machines with duplicate client names
these will grab a T/S license each.
i.e. You ghost a bunch of machines and they are all called Win98. You'll see
multiple entries in T/S licensing "issued to" for all your Win98 machines.

Also check to see which section you are looking at in T/S licensing...=20
Existing Windows 2000, Temp. licenses or W2K T/S Client Access License.

w2k and XP pro (home as well?? ) have a T/S cal "built in" to the o/s so
don't consume a license.

Subject: [THIN] TS Licensing

I know this is a touchy subject so please bear with me!

We have 125 TS licenses. We are showing multiple entries for the same=20
machine. Some have an expiration date, others do not. We thought that MS=20
did away with the per hardware TS licensing. Is this not true? How can we=
get rid of the duplicate entries? Any "best practices" for this?

Running Win2K w/ Metaframe XPa.

Thanks for any help.
