Here's a great example of why: I'm looking at a cheap HP laser for a customer - the Laserjet 1010. Look at the system requirements: MIN SYS REQS: Operating system requirements as recommended by the operating system vendor plus free hard disk space (140 MB for full installation, 10 MB for print drivers only); CD-ROM disk drive; USB, dedicated IEEE-1284 compliant bi-directional parallel, or ECP-compliant parallel port 140 MB for full installation and 10MB just for drivers. Talk about bloatware. 140MB. How could you *possibly* use 140MB of disk space just to manage a printer? > -----Original Message----- > From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Bill Beckett > Sent: Thursday, 1 April 2004 7:52 a.m. > To: 'thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' > Subject: [THIN] Re: Running Applications in Citrix vs Bare TS > > We have had so many problems with HP color printers that we > made all color HP's inaccessible from a Citrix box.
