Sounds like my IBM (Ouch I hear you cry) Deckstar 75GPX is on its way out.
I hibernated (I know it sound strange not being a laptop but it boots so
much quicker) my PC last night and on boot up this morning it failed to come
out of hibernation due to what appears to be a sector error of somesort.
Two questions
1) is there away with PCs to mark bad sectors, as there was with my Amiga?
2) Lurking around here just recently as I do I think Seagates have been
getting the thumbs up, any particular one? My IBM is 30Gb so 40 or above
would do.
