[TechAssist] New XP update/ screwed up my computer

After installing the new XP update, my computer is screwed up. The
DVD/CDRW no longer works and I deleted the driver and reinstalled. It
checked the web for a new driver and found none. It still won't work and I
restored it back 3 weeks and still not working. Does anyone know how I can
use my restoration disks with no CD working?? Will it install a generac
driver to run the disks?? It has a no name DVD/CD but the driver is
QSI DVD/CDRW SWB-081 Its a HP laptop pavilion ze1230
Does anyone have any suggestions
