Tom,

I get my transistors from B+D,Electronica and HBE.
I have, on occasion, used Tritronics,Andrews and East coast transistor.
I did get one bad batch from HBE but got them replaced ok.
B+D and Electronica seem to be a sure bet - never had a bad one yet.

Glenn,
You list many suppliers but as a side note here, if you look at
tritronics , they show the 2SA1302 for 2.00 and the TT- replacement for
2.59, and then if you look at mcm, they show one made by Toshiba for 4.27,
how do you know what you are getting, 2.00 seems very cheap for this
transistor. I trust your opinion as I know you do alot of audio, who do you
buy your audio outputs from and that you can trust not to send a fake
dressed like the transistor you ordered. You list 17 suppliers but prices
are all over the board and how can you trust what you are getting. As you
said if I put some outputs in an amp and they fail it becomes a lose, lose
situation, I am trying to avoid that.
