Steve -Spent quite a bit of time with it today, and can now get it to scan, it was a bit unclear that I needed to keep making slight adjustments to my phone's position, until I positioned it such that all bleeps stopped, then it took the picture. I also had to discover that rather than a few seconds, it needed about 25 seconds before the voice began reading.
My findings are that while it is quite useful for such things as bits of post, it is pretty useless when it comes to scanning the page of a book. I'd say then that it is probably useful for single sheet reading of info or notices, but too hit and miss for more serious scanning; all that's probably reflected in it's price, but probably doesn't produce good enough results to make me buy it.

Hi Andy, Did you install the FP1 or FP2 version?Once the beeps stop, it should take a picture itself if you are in focus andthen start reading after a few seconds. Please feel free to contact me off list if you need further help with it. I thought I was following the instructions from the ReadMe file ok, but maybe not. I opened the camera slide on the rear of the phone, opened the Bayo app, held the phone horizontally over a page in a book, and after a couple of seconds, the phone started to make a lot of fast low pitched bleeps, withthe occasional higher pitch bleeps as well, I had the phone about 10 inches above the page. If I waited long enough, all beeps stopped, but nothing elsehappened. Anybody give me some guidance to making this work please? The version of Beyo you need is the feature pack 2 edition since that iswhat OS your phone runs. Its just above the link to download the completearchive, though the archive does contain instructions on how to use the product, so well worth the extra few minutes to download. All the best, Ibrahim.----- Original Message ----- From: "Janet Tuggey" <janet@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>To: <talks-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, November 09, 2010 7:57 AM Subject: [talks-uk] The Beyo ReaderHi all, this isn't stricly talks but I've just been onto the Computer Room Services website as I want to download a demo of the Beyo Reader.
