Hi Graham, You need to invest a little time to learn to line up the camera. If you do, then Beyo is pretty good. I use it successfully and I am total. But then again, we sell it. Incidentally,, KNFB Reader has now been price reduced to 495 pounds. We sell that too. We also sell TextScout, which in my view is the best there is, but it is also expensive. The disadvantage to Textscout is that you need a full Internet package on your phone, and you need a signal to scan. The advantages though are many. It reads difficult print, such as product packaging etc. It can also Email you the results. You can also download the results from a web server. Scout is currently 625 pounds. If you want to try a demo of these, you can get Beyo from http://www.comproom.co.uk, KNFB Reader from http://www.knfbreader.com and TextScout directly on your phone or PC, from http://install.textscout.eu. I hope this helps. All the best Steve -----Original Message----- From: talks-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:talks-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Graham Page Sent: Wednesday 10 November 2010 09:03 To: talks-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [talks-uk] Re: The Beyo Reader Hi Amie. I tried this program about 8 months ago. I saw its potential but ultimately I did not find it accurate enough to make me spend £70 on it. There is Kurzweil mobile reader but that is a serious rip off when compared to virtually any other symbian program as the cost is not that far short of the full desktop product if I remember correctly. If someone has had better luck with the Beyo Reader then let us know!
