No, sorry, I meant if you left Steem running on the desktop for 20 minutes
and then press a key is there a delay? I have found some strange results
with recent tests of DMA sound, so it definitely isn't perfect. It seems to
come up with a different result depending on how I test it, it's a bit like
testing whether light is a particle or a wave :). Hopefully DMA sound won't
confound me as much as the duality of light and I'll be able to improve it
for the next version.

No, Steem is an STE emulator only, to emulate 2 different machines doubles
the work-load (and we have enough work to improve STE emulation).
Unfortunately you can't just remove support for one particular feature of
the STE, it causes terrible problems.
