The current Research is a main reason that the Canine Pet Rescue will not
accept funds from AGSRA; the membership requirement for FUNDS - Requires
neutering of all Resues. Our Board voted that we can not and will not accept
this irresponsible requirement.
As for Robert's question - who is responsible the irresponsible owner of the
bitch or the irresponsible owner of the Stud. I'm sorry, once again WE refuse
to
accept responsibility for our own actions. Neutering is the easy way out; to
the detriment of the health of our BREED>

If research is reccomending that animals aren't spayed or neutered until they
are 2 plus then how does that prevent the unwanted pregnanacies? Most males are
sexuallly actice at 9 months and females around the same time. The last thing I
want to do do is get a call from a pet buyer telling me their 9 momth bitch is
pg by the neighor hood romeo or by their house dog.

Every report I've seen on early spay/neuter in the past few years has been
very much against it...the benefits are not worth the risks.
That's the overall opinion...anyone who thinks otherwise probably needs to
do more research...vet or not.
