Don't agree with this statement. Lots of dogs are allergic to rice and some
to lamb. If a dog is really allergic to food the best food to switch them to
is IVD Potato/Duck; Potato/ Rabbit or Potato/Vension. Comes in kibble and
canned (no Thumber variety). There is also a hypo allergenic kibble that is
Pea
& Fish and I think Eukenuba makes a hyper-allergenic kibble also. I had a
bitch that was allergic to almost everything (my vet said she was allergic to
life!). She was on the IVD diet for most of her life, once I found out what
she was allergic to, and lived to be 12+. The dogs seem to really like the
food also.
