I just want to say...I don't care if they are White, black or purple poke a
dotted as long as they are healthy
I don't care.
and it seem our beloved breed has many health problems of late.

I don't think it is a coincidence, but even so, the argument just doesn't
hold up today. Heck, even Max himself had no problem with the whites
existing. His issue was that he found the color to be exceedingly boring,
but overall he still felt that "no good dog could be a bad color".
The working aspect of the dog was more important than the color of his coat.
At the time it was suggested not to use whites unless necessary because
there were all sorts of unknowns about genetics and white was thought to
pale dogs (Which we now know is not true), but still...overall the color was
"Unappealing", not taboo.
While I wouldn't own a white simply because I feel as Max did (I need more
than one color in a dog personally), I personally think they should either
be reaccepted as an allowable color or allowed to be separate. I prefer the
former to the latter since, IMO, just reducing breeding to one color and
calling it a new breed is silly. It's still a GSD :p
