I like the Duluth MN all breed show in July....perfect weather, right on Lake
Superior next to the cute little downtown area with all it's shops and
restuarants, beautiful indoor show site with tons of grooming.....The dogs get
plenty of attention from the tourists that stop by for a visit.
The best of all worlds.

Yes it is about hospitality, as showing often involves long drives or
flights,
lots of expense, scheduling, and hard work. One of the best ever lunches we
had
was at Tucson a couple of years ago. It was a simple sack lunch, made
fresh with sandwich, chips and a drink and cookie for a donation.
It was simple, quick
and since handlers/conditioners/owners often have precious little time to
sit down
much less go somewhere to grab a quick bite. The sack lunches could be
"taken with" and eaten on the run. SO APPRECIATED. Not overly expensive for
the host club and delicious.
Having lunch of some sort available also encourages socializing
and togetherness
and relaxation. Always a plus at a show.
Going to a show, where you are left to fend for yourself is the PITS.
It is dog showing that we love, it is the hospitality that keeps us going
back
to shows year after year.
