In fact, that was the first show on the west coast I
was broke in as a handlers assistant (Santa Barbara).
It was one of the last time it was held there. There
was a big afghan specialty the day before and it was
great. Talk about putting on the dog.
I am a big fan of Tradition. I like Morris and Essex
for maintaining the old tradition set by Mrs. Dodge
(there's an old time shepherd name for you!). The
hats, the lunchbell at noon. Great shows. That
weekend, with the exception of Devon (usually rains,
its horrible and Im bitching about washing dogs at 3am
for the "big day". )
